Ryder CupLet the smack talk commence! The Ryder Cup is finally here, a week after the final tournament for the $10 million Fed Ex winner that you probably didn’t see. This one is not about cold hard cash, people. It’s about being cold and talking hard towards your opponent.

Tiger loves whipping up on people that talk smack to challenge him. You’ve probably read this 10 times before, but I always love to talk about the Stephen Ames story when he played Tiger in the World Match Play Championship in 2006.

[Off topic: by the way, do you want to get a 55% bonus on your first deposit here at BetUS? Find out more exciting details HERE.]

Ames was the bottom seed, declaring “Anything can happen, especially where he’s hitting the ball.”
Tiger then whooped his ass 9 and 8 (9 up with 8 holes to go). When asked if he was aware of Ames’ comments, Tiger smiled slightly, simply saying “9 and 8.”

Rory said he would love to play against Tiger. He added an extra super dig in there by saying “I think anyone in the European team would fancy his chances against him.” Rory’s a classy guy, as Tiger and he get along, but Tiger doesn’t forget.

Even if they don’t pair these two against each other (these wimps probably won’t), Tiger will possibly be hooked up in a doubles match against a team with Mr. McIlroy playing on it. That will be fun to watch, and if there is Ryder Cup Golf Betting available on it, bet Tiger Woods.

Tiger and Stricker went 4-0 at the Presidents Cup last year, so chances are they might keep that demolition crew against the Europeans also.

Colin Montgomerie is doing everything right to be considered a motivating winning coach. On Tuesday night, he had Seve Ballesteros do a ten minute call by speaker phone for the team. He can’t travel due to his progressive illness with brain cancer. This should be a huge motivator, especially for the young bucks on the European team.

Colin did catch some slack this week for picking Padraig Harrington as a Captain Pick with the way Paddy has been striking the ball this week.

Monty has to be happy that Paul Casey ended his charge to win the Fed Ex Cup. He came close, which in itself should show he made a bad decision by not picking him.

It was dreary and rainy on this second day of practice rounds at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales. U.S. Captain Corey Pavin kept the Americans on the course practicing when the heavier rain hit.

European Captain Colin Montgomerie decided to give his girls a break and kept them inside until that nasty mean rain stopped and the nice wonderful sun came out.

The worst day of the week is supposed to be October 1, on Friday. The local weather quacks are saying it is going to rain every day of the tournament and the temperature is not expected to reach those dreamy 60s.

The Ryder Cup Betting this week may be favored mostly in the Europeans’ advantage, but you need to take each bet match by match. The USA tends to do VERY well when they are called underdogs. I would expect this year’s Ryder Cup to be no different, and you will see who to take advantage of in my article in the morning on Ryder Cup Betting.
