UFC 127 Preview
The UFC will be back in Sydney, Australia for the second time in its history when UFC 127: Penn vs. Fitch takes places live from Acer Arena on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at 10:00 PM ET with the winner likely getting a title shot at some point in the very near future.
BetUS mixed martial arts betting enthusiasts can get their fill of UFC 127 betting action on several entertaining fights, including the welterweight headline bout between B.J. Penn and Jon Fitch.
The underdog Penn (+160) the former champion at lightweight, is back at for his second straight welterweight fight and will be looking to pound Jon Fitch into submission much like he did the respected Matt Hughes in his stunning first round welterweight demolition at UFC 123 in November.
The favored Fitch (-200) however, has won five straight fights – and a blistering 21 of his last 22 bouts overall – at 170 pounds since his last career loss to Georges St. Pierre (on a decision at that) at UFC 87 back in August of 2008.
The favored Michael Bisping (-375) will take on veteran middleweight Jorge Rivera (+275) in the card’s co-main event in a bout that is also offering stunning UFC betting odds in the BetUS UFC/MMA sportsbook.
Australia’s own George Sotiropoulos will look to extend his impressive eight-fight winning streak and cash in as a -350 favorite in the BetUS UFC/MMA sportsbook when he takes on Russian underdog opponent Dennis Siver (+250) in their lightweight battle.
Another native Australian will take to the Octagon when “Ultimate Fighter” Season 11 veteran Kyle Noke (-190) and California native Chris Camozzi (+155) both look to extend their respective four-fight winning streaks in their middleweight showdown.
